TIBETAN PRAYER FLAGS

Prayer flags are found strung along the Himalayas, associated with Buddism -- they are used to bless the surrounding countryside. There are five colors used: blue for sky/space, white for air/wind, red for fire, green for water, yellow for earth. Peace to you.

COLOR AND TEXTURE IN AN ALLEYWAY

Rough red brick of an old building contrasts with a grayish blue wooden door in an alleyway of Lancaster, Kentucky.

WORN BUILDING'S "SKIN" CREATES A SOFT PATINA

This old worn wooden building encourages life. Climbing vines reach for nourishing sunlight. The old second story window once provided outdoor views of nature to humans that worked within.  The outbuilding's hand-painted sign tells us that the place is now closed -- closed to humans that is but, not to nature.
